You may remember in April NET patient Gerard Price and his team donned the lycra on two wheels and embarked on a journey from the Sydney Cricket Ground to the Melbourne Cricket Ground to raise funds for cancer treatment.
We are thrilled to let you know that with a goal of $30,000 the team batted above their weight and raised a massive $42,137.47 – all of which will go directly to the Unicorn Foundation. Incredibly, the team did not have a huge amount of riding experience before undertaking this huge task. The days were long and challenging, but they managed to make it to the "G" in 8 days all in once piece and without any major hiccups along the way. It was a great team effort which included 2 support car drivers (thank you Brett and Liz) who worked incredibly hard, not only during the ride, but in the lead up to it also. Thank you so very much Gerard, Nick, Tom, Damian, John, Michael, Simon, Brett and Liz. What a massive effort! From all of us at the Unicorn Foundation we thank you for your support and efforts to raise these much needed funds to help us seek a cure for NET cancer.
